Regency Royale

I am commonly asked where to go for great flooring. I have been going to Regency Royale for years. Their selection of carpet and rugs comes from across the world.  They carry unique must have carpets that you won’t find in standard carpet stores. I love the staff for their vast knowledge of products and the time and research they put into finding the best suppliers. I also love their selection of stair runners!

They carry an amazing line, Robin Gray Design, that allows you to custom design rug size and color.

I was able to have the colors in this rug selected to match the existing furniture and colors in a clients home.

If you need help selecting carpet or rugs for your space give my office a call.

Happy Holiday Weekend! Here is a delicious recipe from a client who’s kitchen was featured in Robert McArthur Creative Spaces for Cooks.

PILE ON TOP…CREPES
10 eggs
1½ cups flour
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
dash of salt
butter
sugar

Blend first five ingredients in a blender.  Heat griddle to 200 degrees.  Spray griddle with non-stick cooking spray.  Pour some batter into 1 cup measuring cup.  Pour half on the griddle and smooth and thin out with the bottom of the cup.  Cook both sides.  Place crepe on plate and top with butter and sugar (be generous).  Continue layering crepe on crepe, each time putting the butter and sugar on.

When you are finished you should have a cake of crepes.  Slice like a cake and serve with a big glass of milk.

I envisioned a contemporary dining room table for the St. Augustine Parade of Homes house. I had a white base to start and wanted something chocolate brown with a subtle grain to top it. I talked with craftsman George Merrill about the look I wanted as well as the home show budget. Walnut had the right look and by choosing a veneer we were able to create a thick 2″ slab without going over budget.

The result was a stunning 8 foot long x 38 inches wide contemporary dinning room table.

We had several inquires about the paint colors in our St. Augustine Parade of Homes house. All of the paint used in this home is Kwal Paint. With the exception of the accent walls, all the walls are painted in Silver Lining. The baseboards, casings, and door frames are painted in Rock Bottom. The accent wall in the great room as well as the boot room are painted in Plank.

Creating Custom Furniture

Creating your own piece of custom furniture can be as easy as updating pieces you already own. In this home I had custom hard surfaces made to transform the furniture pieces below.

Starting with a white laminate desk I had George Merrill, a talented craftsman use custom reclaimed weathered barn wood to create a unique piece.

This Rojo Alicante marble top was made to fit perfectly inside the lip of the existing coffee table.

White carrera marble was cut to sit on top of the rustic buffet table as well as the top of the sundry cabinet.

Three more days left in the Parade of Homes and then this lovely house is sold. I really enjoyed working on the interiors for this house. Make sure you stop by and see it!

A couple months ago I showed you the loft in a home I remodeled. It was featured in the latest issue of Utah Style & Design. Read on for insight into one of my favorite shades of white and my tips on getting the right tone for your space.
