cityhome COLLECTIVE

December 11th, 2012

I came across a listing for the Brinton-Dahl house that I remodeled earlier this year on the cityhome Collective site. I thought their write-up about the home was quite charming:
Our Opinion: 1885 was clearly a bang-up year for homes. Add a touch of 2012, and you’ve got a bit of magic. Timeless decor, rooms galore. More custom features than you can shake a 120-year-old stick at. Interior, stone wall has the feel of an English cottage; it’s sleekness juxtaposed with cozy. Custom bedrooms for the wee ones and their very own crafting corner. Beautiful, two-toned kitchen, claw-foot tub, and a million other interior surprises. Ornate and detailed exterior, complete with some amazing deck spaces. Basically, you’ll be living somewhere between a lovely, southern estate and a good Jane Austen novel.

The whole idea of design is hopefully to make it memorable… like looking at a great painting; you want to have an impression made upon you. I have had so many people contact me about the architecture and interior design elements that I made a part of this home. I am pleased this has been an impressionable space for many.
