DIY wool wreath

December 20th, 2011

My talented friend Karen and I made some Christmas wool wreaths. It was so fun and easy I wanted to share the idea! All you need are several old wool sweaters, scissors, a needle and thread!

The ideal thing to do is to find old sweaters with holes in them (you could also mix in wool socks as well). Cut several 4″x4″ squares. Use a needle and thread and tie a knot at the end of one square. Your thread should be 42″ long by the time it is knotted. String your wool squares in whatever color pattern you choose! If you don’t have wool handy, try the same method with whatever materials you have on hand!
