The middle unit of DuMc Place is almost complete! In each of these units the budgets were very different. The beauty of design is combining materials in such a creative way that they have a custom look. For this space I considered the budget, personal style, and a desire for something different which resulted in a combination of granite and Formica/laminate, mixed with subway tile bringing together materials from different eras for a timeless look. I also mixed off white cabinets with alder which is very economical. I selected a white oak floor instead of red oak so there is a different tone. The space is architecturally current with large volume spaces. I incorporated basic ideas such as painted accent walls with my signature framing and sheetrock details.
