Last night Herm’s Inn celebrated their 5 year anniversary. Can you believe it has been 5 years since I worked with JayDee Barr Construction on this restaurant remodel? If you haven’t been to Logan and eaten at Herm’s Inn…Go!

I am in the process of designing an addition to meet the growing demands of the restaurant. When you combine amazing food with beautiful architecture it’s no wonder every table is always full. We are adding a beautiful patio to not only seat more customers but to allow for expansion of events.

In case you missed the original renovation here are some of the before and after pictures. Herm’s Inn was originally built in the 20’s. It only operated for a few years and was then abandoned. The owner of Herm’s Inn also owns Cache Valley Electric so with the renovation I incorporated an electrical aesthetic while giving credit to the original structure.

The overall feel of the building is harmonious between the use of new materials and the historic features. The flooring that you’ll see throughout the main dining area is actually tile that I had laid to look like wood flooring. I used limestone walls in the lower level (where you will find private dining and reception rooms) to give a nod to the historic stone walls that were used in the foundation of the original building.
