The 2015 Winter issue of Utah Style & Design is full of new trends for the new year.  Evidently, freestanding tubs are in!  This may be a new trend, but it is definitely classic design.  Kristen Brooksby stated it well, “Freestanding tubs are classic and will always have a place in a beautiful bathroom”.  I am excited to have my master bathroom from the Brinton-Dahle house featured.  The tub in this historic home is thought to be original from the 1880’s.  A treasure such as this really needed to be showcased.  I created a space for the tub where it is surrounded with historic tile and wallpaper.  The bold color contrast of the inside and outside of the tub accented with gold hardware really makes a statement.
