Parade Home Featured in The Spectrum

I was so excited to see our Parade House on the front page of The Spectrum! Looking at the photographs you really get a sense for how many people are at the Parade of Homes this year. I’ve included part of the article and photographs from the paper.

Parade home offers eye candy for visitors

ST. GEORGE – Grand views and fine detail were on display Sunday at the Oakmont home in St. George, one of the 28 homes featured in this year’s St. George Area Parade of Homes.
At 2,218 square feet, the contemporary southwest home is far from the largest house in the parade, but visitors said they were intrigued by the combination of the views overlooking Red Mountain and Ivins and the attention to detail throughout the home.

“It was really interesting the way they did it, kind of packing so much into some small areas,” said Vince Bianchi, a Pasedena, Calif., resident who was looking through the home on Sunday.

Bianchi pointed to one spot from the bedroom as an example of the efficient use of space in the home. He said a television and indoor fireplace created a cozy corner in the master bedroom, while an outdoor fireplace, porch and hot tub were visible just a few feet away, outside the door.

“It’s well-appointed living, but you’re not taking up so much space,” he said.

Katie Haugen, who is from West Point, and St. George resident Rita Rooks said they were impressed by the design and detail in the kitchen, as well as the way the views were integrated into the home.
